WCE · PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE LEARNING
Operational Arabic for International Personnel
ARAB120 · Modern Standard Arabic with English meanings and pronunciation guides. Clear communication for daily service, training, administration and international cooperation.
Understand. Confirm. Communicate.
Try three 20-minute sessions per module: learn the phrases, rehearse the dialogue, then complete the practical task. Repeat a module until you can use its language without reading. Teachers can adapt the pace after a placement conversation.
Beginner entry: learn the Arabic alphabet alongside this course using WCE Arabic101. You can start with the English meanings and pronunciation guides while learning the script. Pronunciation guides are approximate; the Arabic script is the reference.
This is independent educational language practice. Real duties use your organization’s approved terminology and procedures. Practice with fictional names, places and schedules; keep work-sensitive information out of notes and AI tools.
Audio uses a synthetic voice on your device. Availability varies. This course does not record or assess pronunciation.

BRING IT TOGETHER
Final review and performance task
Your practical scenario
You are welcoming a partner team for a classroom training day. Introduce yourself, confirm a meeting time, arrange routine transport, report a missing supply item, and finish with a brief handover. Use invented details.
Speaking: a two-minute conversation with a partner, including one request for clarification and one read-back.
Writing: a four-line schedule or handover message in the target language.
Review with a teacher or partner
Score task completion, understandable delivery, correct key details, and appropriate language from 0–3 each: 0 = not yet, 1 = substantial help, 2 = some help, 3 = independent. Revise and repeat. A score of 9/12 can be a practice goal; it is not an official language proficiency rating.
Optional AI rehearsal
Copy this prompt into a tool available to you, or ask a human partner to use it. Core learning does not need AI. Check corrections with a teacher.
Teaching and institutional use
